Types of Room views Description
Ocean Front
This is the most desirable view at a seaside location. Your room will front onto the ocean. The beach will most likely be right outside the sliding doors.
Ocean View
You may be quite far from the ocean or on a high floor with an ocean view room, but you will be able to see the water. If you're offered such a room, ask the reservations agent exactly what you'll be looking at when you pull back the drapes.
Mountain or Garden View
This is the name generally given to rooms that face away from the beach. If there are no mountains, they may call the room Garden View. You'll probably get a better rate on such rooms, and the views are often spectacular.
Pool View
This option can range from a dream to a nightmare. You could be looking at your own private pool with a gardenia painted on the bottom, or be awakened by a busload of gleeful, splashing tourists at 6 a.m. So be warned!
