Sun Care Tips
Before your honeymoon, get a base tan at your local tanning salon.
Prime your skin with color and moisturizer to prevent burning before you hit the Caribbean!
It sounds like a simple problem to avoid, but sunburn can occur easily on the tropical islands of the Caribbean. Sunburn will sneak up on you. Avoid it in the usual ways, but be a little more vigilant than usual.
Minimize sun exposure between the hours of 10am and 3pm. The intensity of the sun's UV rays is strongest during these peak daylight hours.
Apply sunscreen to all areas of the body that are exposed to the sun.
Do not overexpose skin to UV light.
Get the right sunscreen for your skin type, get advice.
Apply sunscreen frequently and be generous and make sure you rub it in. If you decide to go for a swim, apply the cream again and on a regular basis while you are exposed to the sun.
Don't forget your back, lips, eyelids, ears and behind the ears.
Sunglasses will protect your eyes and avoid getting a headache.
Sleep, it is easy to fall asleep in the warm sun. Sleep under shade only.
Bring a hat and wear it!
Apply sunblock liberally and often.
Don't try to get a tan in one day.
Drink plenty of bottled water to avoid dehydration.
