Things to Consider
Order in advance, you are likely to be given a better discount.
Take advice from the assistant, he will be able to point you towards special deals, and advice on what wines will taste with what food. You will be able to sample the wine before you buy it as well. He will probably be able to advice whether it is cheaper to buy a box of wine or 6 or 12 separate bottles.
Do not forget the ice and make sure you can keep them somewhere.
Where are you going to put the drinks once you have brought them.
Arrange hire glasses, most suppliers will supply the hire glasses free with a deposit if you are ordering your drinks from them. Get all the different types of glasses you need and remember to get extra. The deposit will be given back to you, unless glasses are broken.
Do you have enough jugs and bottle-openers, cork screws and ice buckets. You can buy a bin and fill up with ice and put all the drinks that require to be kept cold in there.
If the drinks are provided by the caterer then agree the range of drinks and the quantity you want.
Don't forget the bottles of water and soft drinks.
