Order of Speeches
The Wedding Car

It is not traditional to have speeches at Indian weddings, but if you are having the western influences and are going to have speeches, here is the order.
Brides Father
The Brides Father says a few words about the bride and groom and proposes a toast to them
Groom
The Groom responds to the bride's father's speech by saying how lucky he is to have found such a lovely wife and thanking both sets of parents for a wonderful wedding and the guests for their present. He thanks anyone else that needs to be thanked. He acknowledges the services of the bestman and proposes a toast to the bridesmaids.
Bestman
The Bestman replies for the bridesmaids, thanking the groom and adding a few compliments of his own. He then does his speech and reads out the telegrams, he congratulates the bride and groom and announces the cutting of the cake.
The Speeches are ended by toasting the happy couple and usually the bride and groom feeding champagne to each other
